EnviroGuard Retrofit Installation Training
EnviroGuard includes "Installation Instructions" in every system shipped along with a "CAD System Layout" and "Bill of Materials". EnviroGuard also offers a comprehensive retrofit training program. All retrofit installations must be installed by Factory Trained Personnel to maintain the UL Listing. All attendees who partake in the Factory Installer Training program receive a certificate of completion and a photo identification badge certifying that they have been factory trained and certified to perform "Retrofit" installations. A retrofit installation overview video is available for any installation company, facility manager, project coordinator, quality assurance personnel, engineers and end users to view. This comprehensive retrofit training course will significantly increase the installation proficiency as well as reduce the overall installation time. These training procedures insure that once the system(s) are installed, they will remain liquid tight provided the instructions are followed. It is recommended that a 72 hour water test is performed on the system prior to installation of the Pillows and Soc's to insure that the system has been properly installed. If a water test is preformed, it is critical to insure that the inside of the containment system is completely dry prior to installing the Pillows and Soc's. Formal documentation and pictures of a water test should be filed for future reference with EnviroGuard. For information on retrofit installation training contact EnviroGuard at 1-800-206-9884 or visit our training area.
Warranty Care & Maintenance
Once a year, EnviroGuard recommends inspection of all UL listed systems and their components. EnviroGuard also recommends that a new bead of sealant be applied to the locations as specified in the setup instructions, as required. Acid Resistant Sealant should be checked for cracks or voids, possibly caused due to concrete settlement, vibrations, battery servicing and general wearing expected with aging. Check that all barrier wall bolts are tightened to 110 inch pounds and recoat rack mounting bolts as needed with sealant. A visual inspection of the neutralizing & absorption Pillows and Soc's should take place. If the Pillows and or SOCs have turned color (light red), they may be contaminated with acid, water or have prolonged exposure to high humidity. If the Pillows and or Soc's are hard, their functionality may have been compromised. Any contaminated Pillows and Soc's should be replaced immediately after following proper local state and federal recycling or disposal procedures. See EnviroGuard Pillow warranty and Recycling Credit policy for eligibility.
