EnviroGuard Achieves FM Approvals for Pillows Used in Standby Power Storage IndustryMONTCLAIR, California. – August 15, 2013 – EnviroGuard Deluxe neutralizing and absorption pillows required by federal, state and local Authorities Having Jurisdiction for lead acid batteries have successfully completed all testing per FM Standard 4955 and have achieved FM approval. They are the first and only products of their kind to receive FM Approval. FM Approvals is an international leader in third-party certification and approval of commercial and industrial products. Their certification assures customers that EnviroGuard’s Deluxe line of products have been objectively tested and have met the standards for suitability, performance, durability, and reliability for FM Global insured facilities. “The addition of the FM Approval to our neutralization and absorption pillows and SOCs gives the product line another level of certification and quality to facilities seeking compliance and safety,” said Doug Frazier, President of EnviroGuard. “We are proud to offer such unique, high quality spill containment products to facilities insured by FM Global.” In addition to FM Approval, the Deluxe NABPIL, which contains absorbent material to protect equipment and reduce the spread of leaking battery acid, is also fire tested to ASTM E-648 standard, Class 1 Fire Rated, and is currently a UL Recognized Component of EnviroGuard Spill Containment Systems. These absorbent products also comply with the International Fire Code, Uniform Building Code, and Code of Federal Regulations and are the basis for many occupancy permits. The Deluxe model is part of a line of NABPILs, which includes the UL Recognized Standard model as well as the Economy model.
